Buy Vogue 1984 January. The cover is of Tara Fitzpatrick wearing a cashmere sweater by Ben Frankel for Ballantyne (£132), taken by Albert Watson. With reports on the International Spring Collections notably from the world of the greats leading the way on the French cat walks - Jean Paul Gaultier(still going strong),Thierry Mugler, Claude Montana, Yves St Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld's last collection for Chloé (with Guy Paulin) and his second year revitalizing Channel - look and learn young students. From the days when Beatrix Miller was editor and exuberent, joyously creative 1980s fashion was in full swing. There is a small label on the top right front cover which is a real sign of the times when magazines were often delivered by paper boys and girls engaging in their first jobs (sadly now prevented by excessive health and safety legislation). What a good idea that was giving the young experience of the world of work, unlike now when we have bred generations of lazy, talentless, nobodies with an undeserved sense of entitlement. Also there is a small faint 'ring' mark on the back, bottom right cover. Despite these minor blemishes the 152 pages are in excellent condition and a fascinating snap shot of life in the eighties.
The price includes postage by Royal Mail's First Class Recorded delivery to the UK. We will send abroad for an extra postage cost which would be requested after your purchase.
