Buy Vogue November 2019. This cover photograph, by Nick Knight, is of Jourdan Dunn wearing a silk chiffon sheath dress by Channel Haute Couture, also she is featured inside. Suddenly, with this issue, Vogue becomes the rather mundane, formulaic publication which prevails today, the new editor's influence now seems to pervade all its aspects. Although very sad, it is fascinating how one person in power can so quickly destroy decades of a truly creative and inspirational fashion magazine. I am minded again of the story of The Emperor's New Clothes. There are interviews with Eddie Redmayne and an uninspired photo shoot with Eva Herzigova photographed by Juergen Teller but not much else seems to be very noteworthy, unless you have a reduced number of discerning brain cells. The covers have some slight imperfections but the 268 pages are in very, very good unread condition.
